I just finished a short video on what I have found to be the best color to paint your art studio walls.
There have been a few articles written on the upcoming Women Painting Women exhibition at RJD Gallery. I ran across this one yesterday and was humbled to see my painting The Fall was featured. This show includes works by 30 amazing women artists and it is such an honor to have my work hanging alongside theirs. Entitled "Women Painting Women: The Tales We Tell Together" the show runs from October 10, to November 12, 2015. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. I will be there with bells on, hope to see you there!
I am very honored and excited to have been notified that my painting "The Fall" has been accepted to the Women Painting Women exhibition at RJD Gallery in Sag Harbor, NY. The exhibition opening is Saturday October 10th. If you are in the neighborhood, consider stopping by. The paintings included are all exceptional works.
I am so pleased to announce the completion of my latest painting "Quiet Reserve". This one is a self portrait and is full of meaning. Read about it further in my BLOG where I also talk about creating the props for this painting.
One of the most prestigious competitions in the realist art world is the Art Renewal Center Salon. I have been closely watching the winners for many years now and I am always blown away by the quality of work. Yesterday the finalists for the 2014/2015 were announced. There were 2500 paintings submitted, and the top 30% were chosen as finalists. I am humbled and honored to be named among so many amazing artists! The winners will be announced the beginning of May.
I am so pleased to have completed my latest painting "Surrendered To Daylight". This painting is 18x24 and took approximately four weeks to complete.
I took a progression video of the process.
